Medium
Medium is on Netflix instant - Patricia Arquette gives a great performance and their middle daughter is one of the cutest tv kids I’ve seen. In Medium, Allison helps solve cases because she “sees” things, dreams and can talk to dead people. I’m on season 1, episode 4 and I’m loving it so far.

Having a Rosie the Riveter “I can do it” moment, working on my business plan updates. Feels good!
Featured Friend: Jason Waskey
Jason Waskey is a contemporary, figurative artist and also an awesome friend. My first vivid memory of him is riding to Cirque du Soleil with him from a restaurant a few years back - the car was too full of people so we volunteered to ride in the “way back.” He made me laugh immediately with his quirky sense of humor and silly mugging when I pulled out a camera. He can quickly move from a cartoon face to sheepish to serial killer and back again with a few clicks of the camera. Once it’s all done, you’ll simply see a truly good soul shining out through his eyes and smile.
Jason loves pina coladas and also knows ways to quickly cheer people up. He is a very generous guy who spoils his loved ones and friends. His girlfriend loves his hair long, so he’s grown his out for her. I prefer his pompadour of past, personally, but have never seen any guy rock pig tails like this one. It has to be said.
This guy is the perfect blend of smart and modest. He’s a somewhat private person (rumor has it he’s only given his phone number out to 5 people in his life) and really takes good care for those in his life. I look forward to each time I get to see Jason, because I know I’ll be welcomed with a big, genuine hug and hopefully get to know him just a little bit more.
Jason has a unique gift of recognizing the beauty in the most simple things in life. His work often features common items: a tomato, a pair of scissors, a fortune cookie. The simplicity of the subject allows him to highlight the beauty with a great mix of color and texture - the items seem to come to life off the canvas and help the viewer to pause and really enjoy the beauty of each object. Click here for a great review of Jason’s work.
Jason paints several times a week, and blogs about it, here.
If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself. What isn’t part of ourselves doesn’t disturb us.
